Hotel Review

Having read many bad reviews for Deya apartments already, our party were expecting to witness a truly horrendous institution upon arrival. However as our mini bus pulled upto the buliding it was no where near as bad as i initially expected. The reception area is welcoming with two computers with cheap internet access, sofas and tables and a desk area which is always manned.
After we checked in, we were allocated two rooms on two different floors. Floor 4 appeared initially acceptable, with a very large balcony and amazing views of Santa Ponsa. The room on floor 1 however was flooded, after we reported the flooded room to reception we were given another room again on floor 1. This second room seemed to lose electricity after a couple of hours, but given we were only in our rooms for around 5 hours a day we opted to keep the room as it didnt cause us any uncomfort. All of the rooms appeared to be clean, and were very spacious with a small kitchen area containing a slow warming hob, a fridge with freezer and a sink.
Throughout our 10 day stay we heard countless stories of money being stolen from rooms, aswell as one room on floor 4 being completely trashed with police being called into the hotel in the middle of the night. The majority of people staying in the hotel seemed to point blame towards the night security guard "Frank", who many people had seen entering rooms and following different groups to their rooms at night. One girl even reported waking up to see Frank in her room with a baseball bat.
This makes padlocks for suitcases a must and all out party invested in them and none of us had anything stolen.
Throughout the 10 days of our stay we only had two visits from cleaners, with this we only had two change of towels and were only given more toilet roll on two occasions.
The location of the hotel is ideal for what most holidaymakers on the resort require. Situated on top of Disco Inferno and across the road from Green Hills (Santa Ponsa two buggest clubs) the area is understandably vibrant and very loud, making sleep before 5 or 6 am a struggle. The beach was a 3 or 4 minute walk, and there was a supermarket directly across the road from the hotel. The majority of bars were on the same road as the hotel, meaning getting back from a night out was extremely easy, most of the time walking a matter of metres to get back to your bed.
The entire resort is a Celtic hotspot with many irish themed bars dominating the area, Shamrocks bar and Dicey Reillys are top for live music. The long strip from Aha's bar to KMS can prove a good place to go earlier on in the night as it can provide a quieter environment outside aswell as music being played inside if you fancy a dance. This strip also offers out a lot of free drinks, whether it be a free cocktail pitcher if you buy a round, or a free shot with every drink... or most of the time both.
In summary, this is the BEST situated hotel in Santa Ponsa. It is very good value if you consider you are only there to sleep. You get to use a good clean swimming pool with access to a food bar serving alochol at poolside. Also the bar within the hotel was being refurbished during our stay but it looked asif it would be a modern and suitable area to kill time. Overall i would recommend this to groups of males aged 18-30 and i would happily return. Take other reviews with a pinch of salt... you get what you pay for afterall.

Santa Ponsa Review

Covered briefly in hotel review.
Best Clubs - Green Hills and Disco Inferno, Inferno being the bigger of the two however they show football highlights whist music is playing. In my opinion music selection is better at green hills.

Bars- Almost all Irish themed, good live music at Shamrock and the best "Craic" at either their or the lucky Leprechaun. Take advantage of the free drink offers from most bars, the workers will mostly likely push these offers on you as you walk past the bars so theres no need to go out of your way to find them.
